Joining our "Vintage Finds' category is this 1940's tin holder for yarn, thread, or even string. It features silouette images of a lady knitting in her rocking chair while the thread extends downward on the floor and a cat coyly plays with the yarn ball. The removable tin lid has a center hole where the yarn comes out. The wear spots reiterate that this antique tin has been both well used and also well loved.... But that is what makes it all the more unique and special knowing that many a yarn or thread ball have been a part of "grandma's" busy knitting, crocheting and stitching times! Tin measures approximately 4 1/2" tall x 4 1/4" wide.

Think Pink and Think Vintage and you will be able to imagine this sweet grouping of antique crocheted lace and a soft pink iron on rick- rack packet from 1953. The rick-rack is in its original packaging from the David Traum company, 1953. The lace pieces consist of a beautiful variegated pink measuring over 1 yard (41" piece). The solid pink crocheted piece measures over 1/2 yard at 21". I just love to admire the beauty of vintage hand made lace as it takes me back in time!

 

This hand stitched Autumn "Jack" was a delightful time spent many years ago with wool, needle, and thread. "JACK" is the perfect piece to hang and display as the season turns toward Fall. Pumpkins and Jack-O Lanterns, apple cider, hay rides, corn stalks, and mazes, the Fall season with its many adventures is a favorite for kids and grownups alike... AND decorating is a favorite as well. "JACK" is framed in a custom made rustic black frame with glass and will be packaged with care for its journey to you.  Measures approximately 7 1/4" x 8 3/4 " framed.
